Brand Marketing 101: Reaching Customers on Twitter

Social media is more than just a way for you to connect with your family and loved ones; it’s also a great medium for reaching out to both existing and potential clients. Of the social media giants, Twitter is among the best ones to use. If you aren’t well-versed with how Twitter works, here are a few tips to help you reach your customers effectively:
Tweets

Needless to say, Twitter is all about what and how often you tweet. Naturally, you can tweet about anything under the sun. Make sure, however, that whatever you tweet and share over Twitter add value to the lives of those who read it. Otherwise, you might gain a reputation for tweeting junk.

Hashtags

Make your tweets easier to find by adding hashtags at the end. In fact, feel free to create your own hashtags, instead of relying on the momentum of a trending topic. Just make sure that you don’t use too many in one tweet as many users view this practice as spam.

Retweets

Were you mentioned in a pretty funny tweet? Did a happy customer give you a shout out for a job well done? Show your followers how much you appreciate the kind words and retweet it. Not only does this increase customer engagement, but it also encourages more people to follow you in the hopes of being retweeted as well.
